Auto Stow & Deploy: Stow or deploy Ulterra just by pushing a button on your i-Pilot or i-Pilot Link remote, foot pedal or Humminbird fish finder.
Power Trim: Trim Ulterra up or down at the push of a button — on either the foot pedal, the i-Pilot or i-Pilot Link remote or a Humminbird fish finder. Adjust to changing fishing conditions without reaching down to your trolling motor.
i-Pilot® GPS Trolling System: The most-trusted GPS system in fishing. i-Pilot® uses GPS to control your trolling motor with incredible features that keep you on the fish. Set Spot-Locks, record paths, control speed and steering, and more. i-Pilot makes boat positioning and control automatic, and you can take command from its easy-to-read large LCD screen.
Spot-Lock with Jog: Spot-Lock will hold you in place with unparalleled GPS accuracy. Available on i-Pilot GPS system that is pre-installed, Spot-Lock gives you the power to stay right on top of any productive fishing spot, without touching your trolling motor. With the included heading sensor, you can use Jog to move your Spot-Lock location five feet in any direction. Activate Spot-Lock from the i-Pilot remote or Humminbird fish finder.
AutoPilot™: Automatically navigate your boat in any direction you choose. Just point the head of your trolling motor in the direction you want to travel, activate AutoPilot™, and your trolling motor will keep you on that heading automatically, even correcting for wind, waves and current.
Advanced Corrosion Protection: Riptide® motor lower unit housings are grit-blasted, then coated in aluminum to prevent oxidization and rust. Then, a final layer of powder coat paint provides the ultimate protection.
Integrated Battery Meter: The i-Pilot remote can tell you the exact charge left in your trolling batteries, so you know how much time you have left on the water.
Digital Maximizer™: Provides up to 5 times longer run time on a single battery charge. These variable speed trolling motors let you dial in your exact speed, and they deliver only as much power as you need, helping to conserve your battery for a full day of fishing.
Weedless Wedge™ 2 Prop: With swept-back flared blades to power through anything without battery-draining chopping and hacking, the Weedless Wedge™ 2 is one of the most trusted props in fishing.
Indestructible Composite Shaft — Guaranteed for Life: At the core of your Minn Kota trolling motor is an indestructable composite shaft. It's a Minn Kota exclusive, and we guarantee it for life.
Mobile App Compatibility: Control i-Pilot directly from your Apple® or Android™ device with our mobile app. You get quick command of speed, steering, Spot-Lock and Advanced AutoPilot — plus the ability to update i-Pilot software.
Cool, Quiet Power: Every Minn Kota lower unit runs cool to extend trolling motor life, and stays quiet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dissappointing Purchase I bought the Ulterra 24V 80lb thrust from one of our local boat dealers. It worked properly for almost 2 months. All of the sudden the stow/deploy would not work. I took it to a local certified technician to find out that these have had a lot of issues and that the trolling motor that I purchased has a two year warranty but apparently it had sat at the boat dealer for over a year before I bought it. Needless to say, I am very disappointed in the quality of the motor that I paid over $2400 for. It has been sitting at the dealership for 7 weeks now, apparently all of the replacement parts are on back order...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor service Purchased this Jan 2017. Rarely used but well taken care of and kept in a garage. Last fishing trip, the Trim motor quit working. It's now been in the shop for about a month. The repair center practically told me that these were very bad motors. they did have a lot in the . service department that kind of proved his point. Now they tell me the parts are on back order. This is the best time to fish and not having a boat is awful. Minn Kota has a serious problem and they need to step up and make this right. Ive had many products of theirs but this will be my last unless something changes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not ready for prime time Initially, the motor worked flawlessly. Within 40 hours of use deploy stopped working. I was 20 miles out and managed to repair it on the sea. A poorly routed pinched wire was the culprit. There have been numerous other issues requiring repair / replacement. I have made it a practice to remove the covers to inspect / clean / replace. This is frustrating and unacceptable for a 2 year old product. I contacted Minn Kota support and they denied the product's flaws, basically calling me a liar. Never again will I buy a Minn Kota product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Riptide Ulterra Trolling motor - Game Changer I bought this towards the end of my charter fishing season (Northeast) and have used it for Striped Bass and Tautog (Blackfish) off the wrecks for about 20 of my 100 charters. I have a 23ft Parker Sport Cabin and use the 36V motor. It has performed flawlessly on every trip and still had plenty of juice after 5/6 hours of fishing. I can't say enough good things about it. Maintenance is easy - freshwater spray down followed by quick silicone spray on the shaft and base. It is an absolute game changer for saltwater fisherman!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Within the first month of having trolling motor had issues with the stow feature of the trolling motor. They replaced it to only have another issue a few trips later. Brought it into to shop to get fixed and then after only using it a few times in between the issue came up again when it is out of warranty. Minn Kota did nothing to help. Paint is completely coming off the back side of head and the stow feature definitely needs work. Stay away from this unless you like spending money and being frustrated.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ulterra 112 / 36V Purchased mine two years ago. In almost no time the deploy wouldn’t... then the trim module went out. Today the trim/stow went out while I was 20 miles out in the Gulf. Thankfully it had raised enough that the motor was out of the water on the way back. I would NEVER buy this unit again. On the other hand, I have not any problems with spot lock, or the actual motor. It’s always deploy/trim/stow.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Big money for cheap components! I just purchased an 80#, 72" Ulterra for my Robalo R200 and tried it out this past weekend and it didn't go so well. A $2,300.00 trolling motor just freakin' BROKE! The stow/deploy motor housing shattered. While inspecting the damage, it was apparent the housing is made of thin pot metal; not what you would expect to find something made of that has to do so much work and handle a great deal of torque. I contacted Minn Kota and was told to take the trolling motor to an authorized service center in my area, which I did. The owner of the shop told me he has seen a lot of Ulterra trolling motors with broken stow/deploy motors as well as the trim module; not exactly what I wanted to hear. The newer stow/deploy motors are supposed to be thicker but is still pot metal. I am not sure why Minn Kota believes a pot metal motor housing with integral clevis will hold up to the torque of stowing and deploying such a heavy motor. Needless to say, I am highly disappointed and regretful of choosing to buy the Ulterra!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Trolling Motor. Stow is broken on my flats boat after only 5 uses. It puts itself away backwards. Now to find a repair shop to fix a brand new unit. What junk. If it has this many problems I’m reading today why sell them!
